…loopses…
August 26, 2008

get off my loop

let’s go parallel

then I wouldn’t have to chase you

we could ride through life

with a stride that suits us

occasionally pass by with stories to tell

and the stories might have some implied kisses

if our loops

were really …ellipses

You can call me Al.
August 25, 2008

I have a maybe friend, called Al.

We collaborate to greatness

at times,

but perhaps ridiculousness

more often.

If the bum on the bench asks for two cents

“Sister, sister, please?”

we might not give it to him.

But a dollar or a cigarette? Perhaps.

Although two cents would give you something

to rub together. A weight

in the pocket to

appease the senses.

one lucky fox day
August 21, 2008

one lucky fox day

curtains were worn as superman capes
boys became artists
and girls liked to race

cheeks and bellies were sore from laughter
with voices hoarse from singing
and cigarette breaks

but day stretched to night
then night saw the dawn
and dawn brought an end

to one long lucky fox day

and the heart aches
